Types of Cases

Guilderland Town Court handles traffic tickets, drunk driving (DWI/DUI), and criminal charges occuring in Guilderland, including incidents in and around Crossgates mall. The Court hears parking and traffic tickets - both violations and misdemeanors. In addition to traffic matters, this Court also hears criminal matters such as petit larceny and small claims cases.

Judges

Judge Bailey, elected in 2003, was the first Democrat to serve as town justice in over 200 years. He graduated The University of Albany (1976) cum laude and Albany Law School (1979). As a practicing attorney at Bailey, Kelleher, and Johnson, P.C., he represents individuals in civil litigation including products liability, civil rights tort liability, labor law, environmental law, and other areas.

Judge Randall was elected in 2006. She graduated Mount Holyoke College (1973) magna cum laude and Albany Law School (1976). As an attorney at the Randall Law Firm, she specializes in estate planning, real property, and matrimonial law.
